Clinton Street Death Ruled Homicide; Victim Named

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The death of a man found Saturday in the 1900 block of South Clinton Street has been ruled a homicide.

The Allen County coroner's office says Gregory Darnell Mitchell, 58, of Fort Wayne, died of gunshot wound(s).

Mitchell's death is Allen County's 16th homicide of 2012.

Police responded to the home, after family members found Mitchell unresponsive. He was declared dead at the scene.

Police say neighbors reported gunfire in the area earlier in the morning.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.
