Police Catch Wells Fargo Robbery Suspect

Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fort Wayne Police have announced they’ve made an arrest in connection to Wednesday afternoon’s Wells Fargo bank robbery.

Police say Alex White, 47, of Fort Wayne was apprehended in the 2100 block of Eden Street without incident. White is being charged with a Class B felony of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank on South Clinton Street just after 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses say he approached a teller, showing a knife and began demanding cash.

Thanks to the public’s help, White was able to be identified and quickly taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
