Milford, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – A Milford woman has died, succumbing to the injuries sustained when the vehicle she was driving was struck by a train in Milford Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the driver, Carolyn A. Handy, 77, failed to stop at the stop sign at the railroad crossing and entered into the path of a southbound Norfolk Southern freight train.

Witnesses says the Dodge pickup truck pulled into the path of the 37 car freight train at the last minute.
