VAN WERT, Oh. (21Alive) --- A car and school bus collided Friday morning at US30 and SR49 just west of Van Wert.

The driver of the car was critically injured and flown by medical ambulance to a Fort Wayne hospital.

The bus driver, an aide and one student in a wheelchair were in the bus from Thomas Edison School at the time of the crash and they were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. and there is conflicting witness reports on whether the driver of the car stopped at the intersection or not.

There is no traffic light at that intersection of the divided highway.
