Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department wins the 39th Annual Rager-Stiverson Memorial Softball Game against the Fort Wayne Fire Department, Wednesday night.

FWPD won the game by five points with a score of 23-18.

The annual competition between the FWPD and the FWFD raises money to benefit different organizations. The proceeds from this year's game will benefit the Fort Wayne Fallen Hero Fund.

The Fort Wayne Fallen Hero Fund was formed by the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Fort Wayne Fire Union. The fund is put in place to provide services to an Officer or Firefighter's family in a time when they fall or are critically injured in the line of duty.
