Second Person ID'd In Wednesday's Double Fatal Crash

Allen County, Indiana (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Allen County Coroner has identified the man who caused a crash Wednesday that also killed a Fort Wayne woman.

Police say 47-year old Stephen Creel of Stilesville, Indiana crossed the center line as he drove north on Homestead Road south of Branning Road Wednesday morning.

Creel hit 72-year old Marjorie Abramowski head-on.

Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene and are Allen County's 22nd and 23rd traffic fatalities of the year.


Two people are dead in a head-on crash in Allen County Wednesday morning.

Officials with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department say it was just before 7 a.m. when police were called to the crash on Homestead Road, just north of Ernst Road.

A witness says that a man driving a green Honda Accord was going north on Homestead when he went across the center line and hit a silver Honda Accord that was traveling south. The male driver of the green vehicle, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the silver vehicle, has been identified as 72-year-old Marjorie S. Abramowski from Fort Wayne. Abramowski was also pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either car.

The man was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

The investigation into the crash continues.
