Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Experts say the easiest way to get residents to recycle is to get them started at a young age.
That's what city recycling officials hoped-for, Wednesday morning at Irwin Elementary School.
This program teaches children about what "can and can't" be recycled.
It begins with a rousing performance by the Dumpster Drummers', designed to get kids in the "recycling mood."
Kira Blacketor with the city’s Solid Waste Department said, “We try and give them that feeling they can be a part of the solution, you know the solution to get involved in the community, take care of the environment, the economic involvement of recycling.”
Irwin is the 50th school visited by the dumpster drummers and city recycling officials.
