FORT WAYNE, In. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A two vehicle crash in the 2400 block of West Coliseum Blvd caused motorists an even bigger traffic headach than normal Thursday afternoon.
The first accident, involving a car and a jeep, slowed traffic around 2:45 pm. The two vehicles were stopped in the right lane heading east, and that forced other motorists to form a line behind the wrecked vehicles while trying to change lanes and get around the crash. While three vehicles were stopped, the sixth vehicle involved hit the line of cars from behind at a high rate of speed forcing each car to hit the one in front of it.
There were only minor injuries in the first accident, and the driver of the sixth car was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for facial cuts.
The "chain reaction" collision did slow traffic even more while police cleaned up the mess.
