Psychic Detective

(Fort Wayne, IN) -- Perhaps you're one of the millions of people who believe in psychics.

Well, a local woman claims to be the real deal, and has a TV show to back her up.

Kelli Faulkner is a married mother of three, who claims to have psychic abilities.

God-given abilities, she says, she's used to help find missing people, including homicide victims, all over the country.

Kelli Faulkner/Psychic Detective: "That's where the word medium comes in. I'm the person between this world and the next, paying attention to things, messages that need to come through."

So how does it work?

Kelli Faulkner/Psychic Detective: "A type of film will run in my head or I'll start seeing pictures, bits and pieces of things in my head. Asking them if they've seen areas like this. Sitting there and just think about the situation, the person who called, thinking about their voice. And then allowing a type of daydream to play out in my head."

Kelli says she was born with these psychic abilities, and that some of her family members have them, too. But she says she didn't do much with them until her mid-twenties, when she sought some help from an unlikely source.

Kelli Faulkner/Psychic Detective: "I started working with a priest, and we did some cases together, just experimenting to see how it worked. What kind of success I could have with it. How could I use it to benefit missing persons?"

To be sure, skeptics include some detectives she's worked with.

The captain of the Fort Wayne detective bureau says people claiming to be psychics have offered help with cases over the years, but none of the tips has ever panned out. But he says he'd be open to seeing if Kelli can offer help on cases here.

Indiana's NewsCenter has verified two cases where Kelli claims to have located the bodies of a suicide and homicide victim... one in Georgia, the other in Texas.

Producers for the TV show "Psychic Detectives" on Court TV found Kelli, and profiled her work in the Texas case for an upcoming episode.

And she's in talks to star in her own show based on her psychic abilities.

Kelli Faulkner/Psychic Detective: "I might not be right all the time, but just give me a chance to help you out. It's not about me coming in to save the day and to find the person, but to enhance the case, and put some more tools in there to help the case move along a lot quicker, possibly."

You can see Kelli this Wednesday night, on Court TV. She'll appear in an episode of "Psychic Detectives," which will air at 10:30 p.m.
