FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) -- A $10 Million renovation project is underway at the Embassy Theatre Downtown.
Embassy Theatre and City of Fort Wayne officials were on hand today to announce their plan to renovate the upper floors of the building that was once the "Indiana Hotel."
The plan calls for the creation of a number of classrooms and rehearsal spaces as well as a two-story ballroom and rooftop garden, furthering the always present plan of downtown revitalization.
A combination of donor and business pledges, as well as $1.5 Million of city legacy funds make up the $7.3 Million that have been raised so far. Organizers hope to raise a total of $8 Million to couple with $2 Million from the Robert Goldstine Foundation.
