MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (www.nbc33.com) -- A high profile violent crime may be solved.
A teenager serving time in an Indiana prison is charged with a double murder in Mercer County Ohio that has had that area on pins and needles for more than a year.
Two men have now been identified in the November 2011 slayings of Robert and Colleen Grube.
One of those suspects faces 27 criminal counts, including kidnapping and aggravated murder.
Prosecutors allege 18-year old Trevin Sanders of Union City Ohio burglarized the Fort Recovery Ohio home of 70-year old Robert Grube 16 months ago.
He is accused of binding Grube and his 47-year old daughter before shooting them in the head, then ransacking the residence and stealing a laptop computer.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey would not take questions from reporters and court papers reveal no details of how police zeroed in on Sanders.
Earlier information suggested two or more people were involved in the violent home invasion and police say the investigation is not closed.
" There's a possibility of more charges in the future, possibility of more people in the future. Like I said, the tip line is still active," Sheriff Grey said.
" My granddaughter lives out between here and Coldwater, in the country, and it had been bothering her ever since, and I called her last night to let her know, so she's relieved a little bit too. You just don't know when the doorbell rings who is there, " Arnold said.
22-year old Bryant Rhoades of Union City Ohio is being held on $3.5 million bond on a felony obstructing justice charge, for allegedly lying to police about this crime.
Sanders is in the Michigan City Indiana prison on an unrelated theft charge.
Because he was 17 at the time of the murders, he will be brought back to Ohio and will go before a juvenile court judge to start with.
