FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) -- For some families, going out to eat is a simple fun outing. For the Bredemeyer's, it was far from that and would usually result in leaving the restaurant early with a sick child.
Angela Bredemeyer knew something was wrong with Anissa from a very young age. She wasn't gaining weight and was in constant abdominal pain.
It came to the point after man doctor's appointments and failed attempts at relief, the Bredemeyers asked for a referral to a specialist. Doctors in Fort Wayne sent Anissa to Riley where she was diagnosed at three years old with Crohn's Disease.
