UNITED STATES (www.nbc33.com) – A wife and mother of two tells her secrets of how she saved hundreds by shopping online.

Erika Desimone says her secret weapons for savings consist of websites like Groupon, Living Social, Ebates.com, Extrabuxx.com, and couponcactus.com.

"I think over the last three years, I've got like $1500 accumulated in cash back,” Desimone says.

Coupon Cactus, in particular, links users to online stores. Shopping through their site can reward customers with cash back.

All of the rugs in Erika’s house are from Overstock.com. Sunglasses, Shoes, and ever K-cups are bought through different online retailers.

Erika’s smart shopping paid off after her rental property was destroyed by hurricane Sandy. All of the furniture and fixtures for the rental property were bought online.

Erika says that she browses the internet at odd times in the morning searching for the best deal. But, she says, it’s worth it.
