(www.nbc33.com) – Celebrities from Gwenyth Paltrow to Jennifer Aniston have been caught on camera with circles on their skin. It’s all from an acupuncture treatment called “cupping”.

It’s all the rage in Hollywood despite the fact that it looks excruciating. Jennifer Aniston is just one of the celebrities embracing the alternative medicine practice. Cupping apparently isn’t painful and it’s actually believed to be good for you by allowing your blood to circulate smoothly.

In this ancient Chinese form of acupuncture, a vacuum is created within the cups by using a flame or hand pump. It’s meant to de-stress, suck toxins out of the body and stimulate circulation and the immune system.

The therapy is also said to help diagnose internal problems that might otherwise go unnoticed.
