HUNTINGTON, Ind. (www.nbc33.com) -- Dylan Wilson, 17, of Huntington showed off his animation dance moves for the entire nation Tuesday night on America's Got Talent.
In an interview for the show he said he grew up in "corn and farmers and then there's me" country. He goes on to explain that the only dancing he had done for people was at Huntington North's variety show, which he describes as a "talent show with no winner". He shows the area's versatility by mentioning the "really good juggler" and a "kid who did karate".
And then he went on stage.
Howard Stern asked him if there was even hip-hop dancing in Indiana, to which Wilson replied "I believe I invented it there to be quite honest".
After his performance, Howard Stern said he was "mesmerized" by the self-taught teen dancer. Mel B. of the Spice Girls said that he went from just a regular kid to "hot and sexy" when he started dancing. Heidi Klum liked the humor and Howie Mandel thought the act was "surprising" and that Wilson is a "diamond in the rough".
So now Wilson is headed to Las Vegas for the second round of the nation's talent show, making it through the auditions with a sweep of the judges panel.
