FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.nbc33.com) -- Goodwill Industries opened a new thrift store in Fort Wayne Thursday morning.
The store at Glenbrook Commons replaces the Goodwill store at Coliseum Corners. The new location offers better parking and more square footage. All items sold by Goodwill were donated to the charity.
Ninety cents of every dollar earned funds Goodwill's efforts to find employment for people with disabilities.
“So when people donate they’re doing more than just giving their old goods to Goodwill, they’re helping us make a difference in people’s lives, helping people to work in this community who have barriers to employment,” Bill Warriner, Goodwill CEO said.
Last year 600,000 people shopped at Fort Wayne’s five Goodwill thrift stores.
