FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Cliff Setser, a Baer Field Speedway Hall of Famer, died Saturday age at 83.

Setser began racing in 1948, driving everything from dirt cars to asphalt and late models.

Setser, who raced as recently as May, is believed to have driven in more than 1,000 races over 8 decades.

He was inducted into the Baer Field Speedway Hall of Fame in 2012.

Setser's son, Curtis Setser, and grandson Cory Setser, shared Cliff Setser's legacy with Kent Hormann.
