WASHINGTON D.C. (www.nbc33.com) – A D.C. woman became frustrated when she couldn’t delete her deceased sisters Facebook page.

Diana Gonzalez has been coping with the death of her sister. Even worse: her sister’s Facebook account is still online and viewable.

Gonzalez has had a tough time trying to delete her sister’s Facebook page. Just seeing the page is uncomfortable for her.

Fortunately, Facebook does allow the option to delete or memorialize a deceased loved ones page.

For Diana Gonzalez, memorializing was out of the question. When asked about her experience going through the process of deleting the account, Diana said, “it wasn't that hard... but I wish I hadn't had to dig so far for it ... but it's hard emotionally to do this because it's a little piece of her that is going away”
