WARREN, Oh. (www.nbc33.com) -- Six Ohio teens, ages 14 to 19, were killed in a car crash early Sunday morning.
State police have identified the victims in crash that left a SUV, not belonging to any in the vehicle, upside down in a pond. Alexis Cayson, 19, was driving the vehicle and the only female involved. Andrique Bennett, 14, Brandon Murray, 14, Kirklan Behner, 15, Ramone White, 15 and Daylan Ray, 15, were killed in the crash.
Two of the 15-year-old's were taken to the hospital in full cardiac arrest and pronounced dead there.
Two other teens in the vehicle survived after breaking out the back window of the vehicle and swimming to safety. Brian Henry, 18, and Asher Lewis, 15, were treated for bruises and other injuries.
Police are saying that a high rate of speed was a factor in the crash but that the exact speed can not be determined at this time.
The Honda Passport veered off the road, crashed into a guardrail and came to rest upside down in a pond and then, with five of the teens trapped inside, sank into the cold water. The sixth teen was found under the vehicle when crews were removing it from the water.
