FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.nbc33.com) - Two teams were "beefing up" to win the title of Best Burger Battle Champions.

Beer distributing company, Five Star Distributing, and the Fort Wayne Fire Department competed against one another in the burger eating contest at Smokey Bones to raise money for Saint Jude's Children's Research and the Fallen Heroes Fund.

It was a battle of the belly as each contestant scarffed down colossal-sized burgers one at a time.

The Victor: the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Now the Fire Department has the chance to compete nationally for $5,000 to go towards their charity.
