FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - State delegates from across the state have made their way to the Grand Wayne Center in downtown Fort Wayne.

The goal for this weekend is to both celebrate their party's successes as well as rally behind the same goals and messages. Some of the topics of conversation include promoting fiscal responsibility and limited government.

Not all topics of conversation, however are that tame. The GOP Convention will have its share of controversial topics to discuss such as the party's stance on a definition of the family structure.

It won't be all business this weekend however. Once the speakers are done for the day, "Fort Fun Night" will be getting underway across the street at Parkview Field.

Area food vendors will be serving up some of their signature dishes while the delegates enjoy live music and entertainment.
