ANGOLA, Ind. (NBC33) - There is a growing concern from residents of the lake region of Steuben County over a possible hog Confined Animal Feeding Operation, or CAFO.

Last month a permit was granted to K&D Contract Pork to build two CAFOs totaling nearly 5,000 hogs on his Steuben County property.

Opponents to the CAFO say the waste and manure from those hogs - totaling approximately 2 million gallons annually - would threaten both air and water quality to the county, which could result in turn cut back on tourism dollars to the area.
