FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - As a way of both remembering and celebrating local veterans, the folks at Ehlerding Motorsports and River City Harley Davidson hosted their 7th annual "Freedom Ride" Thursday night.

The benefit ride set out at 6:30pm and included a 30 mile roundtrip from their location just west of New Haven out to Heritage Memorial Park outside the 122nd Fighter Wing.

Organizers say it was a fun, relaxing ride that helped raise money for local veterans while reminding us of the sacrifices they have made.
