FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) – When it comes to holiday traditions such as Christmas lights and decorations, the Grossnickle family of Fort Wayne consistently go above and beyond.
Since early November, Jason Grossnickle and his family have been putting up strands of lights and displays all over their home on the northeast side of town.
What started as a rivalry with his brother-in-law 15-20 years ago has grown into a 25,000 bulb light show that is completely synched to holiday music. And if you ask Jason, he and his family hope to continue their tradition for many years to come.
"They love it, and I enjoy doing it. It's a lot of time, but I enjoy doing it and seeing the way that they look at it. It's pretty cool. And seeing everybody drive by and stop and look, and it just gives everybody joy, which is nice. Especially now."
The Grossnickle’s light display will remain up for all to enjoy until after his son's birthday on January 8th.
