UNITED STATES (www.nbc33.com) - In today's Living Better segment, social media has become a part of daily life for millions of Americans, and some people might be guilty of over-sharing.

One of this season's biggest pet peeves: too many posts about your work outs.

Randi Zuckerberg, CEO of Zuckerberg Media, says that when updating social media at the gym, to be careful.

"Updating at the gym you have to be very careful.” Zuckerberg says. “If you have just accomplished some awesome physical feat like you just completed a marathon go ahead share it, that's awesome, but if you're that person who every day is like ‘blasted my pecs today’, that's going to be something that's probably going to annoy your friends."

Zuckerberg continues to describe different apps that make updating a status at the gym a bit more socially acceptable.

“a lot of people feel motivated in different ways,” she says, “and there's an app for everything".
