FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - It was a special home-coming a golden retriever and her owner are reunited after being separated during this past weekend's snow storm.

Miley a 5 year-old Golden Retriever was separated from her owner Nikki Jordan after chasing some of her neighbor's four-wheelers down Lima Road. Once she realized Miley was gone Jordan posted to Facebook hoping some of her friends or neighbors had seen her dog out in the snow.

Thanks to the goodwill of total strangers and the use of the Facebook page “Lost Dogs of Fort Wayne," the two were finally reunited.

"I knew Facebook would help out a lot. So that was my first thing I did,“ says Jordan. “I posted a picture, my friends saw it and told me they had seen her on someone else's page, which basically I found her whereabouts then."

Miley was spotted by Jeff and Nic Heck who happened to be plowing a church parking lot in Huntertown.

"She's a very good dog, she likes anybody and everybody,” says Jordan. “She's pretty sweet she's pretty good. I was really surprised that she even took off, because she doesn't normally do that, but it was the four-wheeler is what made her take off."

Once they opened their truck door Miley hopped right inside and it wasn't long until she was back home warm and safe.
