FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - Hoosier motorcyclists are rejoicing now that the new "Dead Red Law" has passed.

According to the law, motorcyclists are now able to drive through intersections even though the light may be red.

Indiana lawmakers claim the weight of a standard motorcycle or bicycle are not enough to trigger sensors on the road, so bikers are now allowed to proceed through the intersection after waiting for 120 seconds, or two minutes.

Bikers are expected to take every necessary precaution to ensure the intersection is clear prior to proceeding, but many of them could not be happier.
