HUNTINGTON, Ind. (NBC33) - A Huntington North High School student injured in a July parasailing accident will speak out for the first time Thursday.
In an exclusive interview with NBC's Today, Alexis Fairchild, 17, talks about the horrific ordeal for the first time.
Alexis and her friend Sidney Good were seriously injured when the rope on their parachute broke, the girls slammed into a building, fell through power lines and landed on cars in a parking lot.
Alexis and her parents will talk about the accident, her recovery and share their advice before they go parasailing.
Alexis' interview will air during the 7:30 a.m. half hour of Today, and can be seen on NBC33.
