FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Another thing you need to prepare for in this weather is allergy season.

Doctor Peter Rothman has been in the allergy business for more than 35 years and works at Fort Wayne Allergy & Asthma Consultants.

He says there's already mold in the air from the early thaw, this month.

With spring rains and farmers tilling their field’s experts say we're going to have high mold counts this year.

Dr. Rothman says, “I would expect higher than usual mold counts at this time of year. By the summer and fall with all the field work, combining, haying, we have extremely high counts by August, September, October November. I think we're going to see more than usual this spring.”

Officials say if you have severe allergies, you should see a specialist for treatment.
