Steuben County Offers New Rx Drug Program

(Steuben County) - Residents in Steuben County can now take advantage of a new program to cut their prescription drug costs.

County officials on Wednesday began offering new drug discount cards which can offer savings of about 20% off the retail price of common prescription drugs.

Officials say the cards are available to to ALL Steuben County residents no matter their age, income or existing health coverage. The cards will also be accepted at all pharmacies in the county.

The drug discount program is sponsored by the National Association of Counties. Officials say there is no cost to Steuben County taxpayers. There is no enrollment cost or membership fee.
