WABASH, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – It's billed as the finest Indiana art collection in the world.
The exhibit at the Dr. James Ford historic home in Wabash features 38 paintings from renowned Haan collection.
Art buffs will know the names, T.C. Steele, J. Ottis Adams and Homer Davisson.
The 19th and 20th century works show early life in Indiana.
“The way that Indiana is lucky is that, all of our really great painters, with a couple of exceptions, decided to stay and paint in Indiana, rather than go east and paint,” says art collection owner, Bob Haan. “We were able to have all of these great painters paint the landscapes around Indiana.”
The exhibit will be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday until January.
