FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Junior PGA Championship brought in plenty of green for local businesses. Is there a change it will tee off in Fort Wayne again?

"I don't think it is going to take a lot. It's gonna be up to the owners and Sycamore Hills Golf Club to take a look at whatever possibilities are out there, think about how it can be good for the community and look at our options. I would say that there is a lot of fantastic things to come in the future at Sycamore Hills Golf Club," said Sycamore Hills Head Golf Professional Tim Frazier.

"I've played in three USGA championships and this is right there with them. It's a very quality course and tests every part of your game," said Anders Albertson, a 17-year-old golfer who received national fame Wednesday, when he hit a double eagle and video of his shot was number two on ESPN's Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays.

To host a national championship, it takes volunteers.

More than 240 community members donated their time at this week's Junior PGA Championship.

"Fort Wayne folks have been phenomenal," said Junior PGA Championship Chairman Allen Wronowski.

Meanwhile, the Fort Wayne - Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau estimated the tournament's overall impact on Fort Wayne's economy was somewhere between $200,000 to $300,000 dollars.

"The community around Sycamore Hills has been outstanding. Everybody is so warm and friendly and hospitable. We've have over 240 marshals and volunteers helping us through the championship," Wronowski.

Indiana's NewsCenter has learned PGA officials are already considering returning to Fort Wayne for next year's Junior PGA Championship.

Sycamore Hills workers add other PGA events could also be headed to Fort Wayne.

Meanwhile, the Boys Championship winner was Denny McCarthy of Maryland.

The Girls Championship winner was Cassie Isagawa of Hawaii.
