FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - 1,045 students moved into student housing at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Many were freshmen who were eager to talk about what they think college life will be like.

"I'm nervous, cause I mean I like to meet new people but (I) don't know how they're going to be like, so it's kind of nervous to see, but I'm ready," said Dominique Espinoza, IPFW Freshman and native of Elkhart, Indiana.

"It really hasn't hit me yet so right now I'm just here 'til it hits me," said Michael Danzler, IPFW Freshman and native of Elkhart, Indiana.

Oh but it will Michael because after this weekend, you will officially be a freshman at IPFW.

And because classes begin on Monday a pop quiz was in order.

Our subject matter, Beloit College's Mindset List for the Class of 2014.

The best way to describe the mindset list, how about a reference point showing how quickly the world changes with each generation.

Indiana's NewsCenter asked: "Do you know what a floppy disk is?"

"A floppy disk... Isn't that the square disk, the square one right... I think... (laughter) Reporter: Have you ever used one? "Yeah I used one back in elementary school," said Danzler while drawing the shape of a floppy disk with his fingers in the air.

We also asked: "How often do you find yourself not having anything to watch even though you have like hundreds of channels to choose from?"

"A lot of times cause there's nothing on no more," said Espinoza.

"A lot. A lot. (Nodding his head) Like almost every day I just go on the computer and watch TV cause I can just type in what I want to watch and it's right there in streaming video," said Danzler.

Both guys also admitted to hardly writing in cursive and barely using postal mail.

So according to Beloit College, they will fit in with their new peers just fine.

"I'm just along for the ride and hopefully I can be successful out here," said Danzler with a bit of reluctance.

"(I'm) hoping it's going to be fun and I'll still get to get my education but I hope it's not too hard but I'm pretty sure but I'm pretty sure it's going to challenge me but I'm ready," said Espinoza.

Every August since 1998, Beloit College in Wisconsin has released the cultural landscaping list.
