FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Calling all green thumbs! After a chilly March, temperatures are finally beginning to warm up with highs reaching well into the 60's by Sunday. The bigger story, however, is our overnight lows are only dropping to the 40's. This means it's okay to start planting that vegetable garden. Owner of Broadview Florist and Greenhouse, Doug Hackbarth says this weekend is the ideal weekend to start putting your seeds in the ground and planting some of those cool weather vegetables. The only flowers you should be planting right now are pansies, since they can handle colder weather. Most flowering plants and vegetables like tomatoes, peppers, gourds, and melons should wait until mid to late May when temperatures are even warmer.
