WASHINGTON (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Congressman David Wu will resign from office while facing sexual misconduct accusations.

The seven-term Democrat announced his decision Tuesday, saying he will step down after the debt ceiling debate is resolved.

This comes as Wu is accused of having an unwanted sexual encounter with the 18-year old daughter of a campaign supporter last year.

He is the second Democrat in six weeks to resign over a sex scandal.

Anthony Weiner left office last month for sending lewd photos of himself to women online.
