WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- A rural Whitley County resident was killed early this morning when his car hit a telephone pole in Noble County.
The Journal Gazette reported that Logan Templeton, 21, died from a head injury at the scene of the one-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:30 a.m. in the southern part of the county, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department.
Templeton was eastbound on Noble County Road 500 South from County Road 100 East when he lost control of his pickup truck and hit a telephone pole in front of 1276 East 500 South, The Gazette said.
A passenger in the 2001 Dodge Ram, 38-year-old Amber R. Talbot of Churubusco, was airlifted from the scene with a back injury, according to the sheriff’s department.
The crash remains under investigation. The Noble County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Noble County Coroner’s Office, Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Noble County EMS, Whitley County EMS and Smith Township Fire Department responded.
