WASHINGTON (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An independent investigation into BP's oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico launched by President Obama will support many of the conclusions the oil company made in its own investigation.
That was the finding announced in Washington on Monday by the Chief Investigator Fred Bartlit at the beginning of a two day hearing before the President's panel.
Bartlit said in a presentation to the seven-member oil spill commission that he agreed with about 90 percent of BP's findings, although the company left out some critical details and there were other areas where the panel's investigation will conflict.
