FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A man is behind bars after he was shot, dropped off at the hospital and investigators learned he was wanted for on a marijuana charge in Kosciusko County.

James Guinn told police he was shot at Eden Green Apartments and that it took him 15 to 20 minutes to find a ride to the ER. He was dropped off at an area hospital around 10:30 p.m. Thursday with a gunshot wound.

Guinn was wanted in Kosciusko County for a marijuana charge and when he was released from the hospital he was taken to lock-up waiting extradition to Kosciusko County.

Previous reports that indicated James Guinn was wanted for attempted murder were inaccurate. Quinn James is the man police say was wanted for attempted murder.
