UNITED STATES (www.incnow.tv) - Video games may be under a microscope as Congress looks for ways to reduce gun violence.
As many politicians call for action in the areas of gun control and mental health in response to the mass shooting, West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller, wants to explore violent video games. As chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, the democrat introduced a bill to investigate the content seen by children.
Rockefeller's legislation would direct the National Academy of Sciences to research the impact that violent video games have on kids. He'll also ask the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission to take a look at these issues.
