FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- Using sports for teaching life lessons, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana is looking for male volunteers to help with their Sports Buddies program.

The new program takes young men, ages thirteen to seventeen, to sporting events around the Summit City, including TinCaps, Komets and Mad Ants games and uses those as bonding opportunities for the Little Brothers and their role model, Big Brothers.

Little Brother Michael Gonzales says, "It's been pretty good. He's taught me a lot of things. He's taught me confident about myself and always try harder in life and always do what’s right."

Organizers are hoping to make fifty matches during the program.
