Mercer County, Ohio (www.incnow.tv) - A year later investigators in Mercer County, Ohio are still on the hunt for the killers responsible for the deaths of Robert and Colleen Grube.
They are also still searching for the man wanted for the murder of Melinda Shinn. Despite the length of time Sheriff Jeff Grey says he's very confident.
"It could take us some time yet but I believe we're going down the right path."
It was November 30 of last year when Robert and Colleen were found shot dead in their Fort Recovery home, and there were so signs that anyone forced their way into the house.
So far, investigators have spoken with at least 250 people about the case.
"We have ruled out several people as possible suspects. We have some individuals that I'm not comfortable calling a suspect quite yet at this point but we are very curious about them and that is our focus at this point,” said Sheriff Jeff Grey, Mercer County.
The other unsolved case in Mercer County involves Melinda Shinn. She was killed earlier this month. Daniel Martin is wanted in that case. Not long after Shinn was found dead in her Rockford, Ohio home Martin's car was found abandoned in Fort Wayne.
"We are very actively working; we are putting a lot of resources into it. My confidence level remains very high that we're going to be successful,” said Grey.
A $20,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murders of Robert and Colleen Grube. In the Melinda Shinn case a $2,500 reward is being offered for help finding Martin.
