FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - 17-year-old Paul Prater is now charged as an adult with murder for the beating death of 20-year-old William Fett.

Police arrested Prater and 22-year-old Anthony Tate in an apartment in the 5700 block of Ullyot Drive June 2nd, after they found Fett unconscious on the floor.

They went to the scene after neighbors complained of thumping noises coming from that unit.

Fett died from blunt force trauma to the head the next day.

Prater's trial date will be set during a hearing October 25th.

Tate is also charged with murder in the case.
