US 24 Accident: Semi vs. School Bus, 3 Students Injured (Photos)

Allen County, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Thursday afternoon a semi rear ended a school bus in the area of U.S. 24 and Bruick Road, east of New Haven.

Allen County Police say that of the 27 students on the bus, the driver and a total of three student were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver and a student were transported by medical crews, while the remaining two students were transported to the hospital by their parents.

Investigators report that the school bus was heading east bound on U.S. 24 and made a stop at a house when a FedEx semi that was following behind didn't stop in time and rear ended the school bus.

Both directions of U.S. 24 were closed so police and other crews could clear the area.

Traffic along U.S. 24 was expected to be reopened by 5 p.m.
