Two-Vehicle Accident Involving A School Bus In Ohio

WEST UNITY, OH (21Alive) -- The Defiance Post of the Highway Patrol is reporting that a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus happened this morning around 7:25 a.m..

According to investigators, a Mill-Creek West Unity Local school bus was stopped to pick up a student when a driver of a 2004 Ford Taurus failed to see the stopped bus and struck the right rear.

Debris from the collision struck and injured a student attempting to board the bus. 20 other students were on the bus and 3 claimed injuries from the crash. They were treated on the scene and none of them were transported to the hospital.

61-year-old David Whitman was the driver of the Ford Taurus and was cited for ACDA and a stopped school bus violation.
