FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Next month the trailer park where Aliahna Lemmon was murdered may be no more.
Northway Woods, on North Clinton and Deibold, is up for sale starting April 14th.
Steffen Group will be handling the sale and according to its President, residents of the trailer park do not have to leave until after the park is sold.
The trailer park is home to a number of convicted sex offenders.
The auction is part of a larger property auction that covers 21 acres of land in the so-called Dupont Triangle.
The acreage will be broken down into seven smaller tracts.
The new owners of the mobile home park could choose any number of options for the property, but if the residents are forced to leave, more than a dozen sex offenders will be looking for new places to live. They will still be required to comply with current law.
Detective Mike Smotherman with the Allen County Sheriff's Department says, "A lot of those offenders are subject to the thousand foot rule. They know that they can check addresses with us if they have potentials, but some of them are going to have a hard time."
If the park doesn't sell, it would continue to operate as a trailer park, at least temporarily.
According with officials with the Steffen Group, who are handling the sale, the auction will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Upstar Realtor building on East Dupont Road.
