Three Teens Injured In ATV Accident

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) – Three teenagers are hurt after an ATV rolled over on them.

The accident happened late Saturday afternoon near Silver Lake.

Officials with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) say a 10 -year-old and two 15-year olds were on an ATV on C.R. 1400 when they drove off into a ditch and rolled over.

DNR officials say they one of the 15-year olds was driving at the time and going at least 35mph.

The 10-year old was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital for internal injuries and one of the 15-year olds was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation.

The third teen was checked out at the scene and released.

DNR officials say none of them were wearing helmets or seatbelts.
