FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Occupy Fort Wayne protesters have responded to a request from the Fort Wayne Police Department to tidy up their camp.

Police approached the group Thursday night about complaints related to the condition of some tents at Freimann Square.

The occupy group removed those tents that had collapsed from the snow. They said they've been given the ok to stay now from police and have no plans to leave based on the weather.

The group has a make-shift kitchen and has rented a port-a-john for the camp.

Around 10 members spend the night at the park each night.
