Howell, Michigan (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A funeral is being held Friday afternoon for the mother and her three daughters who died in a horrific car crash in DeKalb County Sunday.

43-year-old Barbara Pierson, 19-year-old twins Bessie and Margaret and 14-year-old Elizabeth were killed after their SUV rolled off I-69 onto railroad tracks below and was hit by a train near Waterloo.

Their funeral is being held in their hometown of Howell, Michigan.

Pierson's baby boy survived the crash with a broken leg. His life being saved is partly attributed to his car seat.
