FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne Police arrested a young man for his alleged role in a string of robberies at a north-side apartment complex.

19-year-old Kentron Ganaway is charged with felony attempted robbery and battery with a deadly weapon.

Police say he turned himself in and gave "significant detailed information" about a robbery in February at the Woodbridge Apartment Complex, where at least one resident was pistol-whipped.

A string of robberies there over a three-month period terrorized residents and police believe Ganaway may be responsible for many of those incidents.

Ganaway is due in court Thursday.
