NEW HAVEN, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The East Allen community voices their desired qualities in a new superintendent.

The search is on, for East Allen County's new superintendent. Wednesday night parents, students and staff voiced their opinions on what kind of superintendent they're looking for to replace former superintendent, Dr. Karyle Green during a public meeting at New Haven High School.

Green resigned at the beginning of March, and the school board announced they will not hire an interim.

Now board members are holding a series of public meetings to gain feedback on what the community wants from a new district leader.

“A team player to work with the parents, the students, the staff and really be able to listen and explain where their thoughts are—explain it instead of just doing,” said Eileen Carroll, current EACS staff member and former parent.

Other qualities community members voiced: someone who's respectable, trustworthy, has integrity, and will be active in the community.

The school board hopes to have a replacement by this summer.
